The building dates back to the 15th century and is located on Damrak in the heart of Amsterdam. Hotel Amsterdam De Roode Leeuw Amsterdam - De Roode Leeuw opened in 1911 and is one of the few still privately owned hotels of Amsterdam.

- Train (station only 700 metres from the hotel): Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station (roughly 19 minutes travel time).

- Take tram 4, 9, 16, 24 or 25 and get off at tram stop Dam (only 1 minute).
On foot from Amsterdam Central Station:
- If you walk out of the Central Station, the first street you see in front of you is the Damrak.
- Keep walking down the Damrak for about 700 metres and you will find the on your right-hand side.
